Cialis, Eli Lilly and Co.’s way out to Viagra, has gained up to one-third of the erectile dysfunction market in where it is approved for sale.

The drug has 33 percent of the market in Australia, 30 in Germany and 27 in France, Lilly ICOS LLC said Aug. 19. The company is a joint venture between Indianapolis-based Lilly and Bothell, Wash.- ICOS Corp.

Cialis, which had sales of $37.4 million in the following section, was launched previous this year in 42 countries throughout Europe, South America and the Asia-Pacific section. A finding from the Food and Drug Administration on U.S. is probable next this year.

Pfizer Inc.’s Viagra is still the mentor in where Cialis competes with it. The drug its hold in the United Kingdom, with 85 percent of the market and Spain, with 75 .
